CCM Announces its First Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) Center on Staten Island

Seniors Receive Access to Personalized Health Care and Therapeutic Recreation

Staten Island, NY, June 2, 2010 – Comprehensive Care Management (CCM), a member of Beth Abraham Family of Health Services, announces its first Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) on Staten Island, NY, with the opening of its day health care center on 1106 Bay Street. CCM Staten Island offers seniors a great opportunity to interact with each other in order to prevent isolation and depression. At the 2,100 sq. ft. center, seniors will receive meals and engage in a variety of therapeutic recreation activities, such as singing and instrumental music programs, arts and crafts, and modified exercise. Culturally sensitive to the needs of its diverse member population, CCM Staten Island has staff members who speak languages such as Russian, Spanish, Italian and English.

CCM Staten Island members will receive medical care at the CCM Stillwell site in nearby Brooklyn, NY, through PACE. Round trip transportation will be provided from members’ homes to both sites. CCM is the nation’s largest PACE provider, and offers personalized health care for seniors with long-term medical needs by offering them access to a team of doctors, nurses, social workers, physical and occupational therapists, among others.

CCM has been providing health care to seniors in New York for 18 years, and currently tends to the medical needs of over 4,600 people.
