Innovative Communication Device Helps Patient at CCM Wallerstein
Kim Rutsky (right), CCC-SLP, Senior Speech-Language Pathologist at CCM, works with CCM member Xavier Rondon (left), who is unable to speak, on communicating through the DynaVox V, an augmentative communication device for people who have no voice of their own. Xavier uses a touch method to prompt the machine to speak for him, and is finding it to be helpful in his interactions with others. The DynaVox V is available for use at the CCM Wallerstein site for members who need it.
