CenterLight Health System Appoints David A. Rock
as President and CEO
NEW YORK CITY (May 4, 2018) – CenterLight Health System, a non-profit leader in home and community-based healthcare and services for older adults throughout the New York area, has announced the appointment of David A. Rock as President and CEO.
With more than 30 years of healthcare leadership and operational experience, Rock has worked as a front-line health care professional, and in healthcare management, finance and consulting, across the U.S. and internationally.
“David brings a strong clinical background, a passion for our mission and a proven track record of managing healthcare organizations at the highest level,” said Michael R. Potack, Chairman of the Board of CenterLight Health System. “We’re pleased to welcome David to the CenterLight team.”
Rock’s executive engagements include leadership positions with Grant Thornton, LLP, Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, Carl Marks Healthcare Partners LLC, MacNeal Health System in Chicago, Henry Ford Health System in Detroit and Arthur Andersen Healthcare Business Consulting. His focus is on improving operational and financial productivity for a wide range of hospitals, health systems and provider-based organizations, including assessing and developing new ventures, including mergers and acquisitions and strategic business plans.
Beyond his engagements stateside, Rock has worked with numerous healthcare organizations in The United Kingdom, New Zealand, Canada and South Korea. “I am thrilled and honored to serve as the President and CEO of CenterLight Health System, and to advance our mission of providing exceptional home and communitybased care.” said Rock. “I look forward to working with our dedicated staff and board to help CenterLight fulfill its potential as a best-in-class healthcare organization.”
A member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Rock holds a Master of Health Services Administration, from the University of Detroit Mercy, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration and Finance, from the University of Michigan. He also holds an RN diploma from the Henry Ford Hospital School of Nursing, at the University of Michigan.
