What is CDPAS?

With Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Services (CDPAS), eligible Teamcare participants can choose a family member* or friend to be their paid caregiver. Now, they can receive care from someone who takes their health and well-being personally.

With our all-inclusive care model, we provide further support to help caregivers, such as coordinating medical appointments and transportation.

**Participants must use a licensed CDPAP/CDPAS Fiscal Intermediary (FI).

 

Personal assistance services

Our loved ones know us best.

They also understand our habits and our preferences. When we need their help due to an illness or other circumstances, they often spend time assisting with activities such as these. CDPAS enables a friend, sibling, son or daughter, niece or any relative*, to help with personal assistant responsibilities including the following—and to get paid for their services.

How it Works

CenterLight Teamcare offers our participants all the services they need to remain safely and independently at home, including medical and nursing; physical, occupational and speech therapies; therapeutic recreation; social work services; nutritional counseling and many others, including home health aide services, depending on their plan of care.

Instead of a home health aide, a participant may choose to have a loved one provide their personal care services through a program called CDPAS.


Eligibility

CDPAS eligibility is determined by our staff, who conducts an assessment to determine the level of assistance with personal care and/or nursing services the participant needs.

*Spouses and designated representatives are not eligible to be personal assistants.
