CenterLight Healthcare PACE Grand Street Center Celebrates Grand Reopening

My name is Amy Mung, the Assistant Vice President of Care Delivery Specialized Group Programs at CenterLight Healthcare Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). I recently had the privilege of working with the team in organizing a joyous celebration at our Grand Street PACE Center, where CEO Tara Buonocore-Rut and EVP and Chief Strategy Officer Shaun Ruskin welcomed participants, staff, and guests from the community.

Over two years ago, when the COVID-19 pandemic started, CenterLight made the difficult decision of temporarily closing our day health centers to ensure the safety of our participants.* Though our commitment to providing them with high quality care never wavered, it’s exciting for us to once again be able to welcome them back to our sites.

Guests who attended the re-opening celebration were treated to a traditional lion dance and refreshments. Please see photos from the event below:

Located in Downtown Manhattan in the heart of Chinatown, CenterLight’s Grand Street PACE Center has been serving our Asian American community for many years. Here, they are able to get medical care, socialization and recreation, and rehabilitation therapies designed with needs** and cultural preferences in mind. They also have access to an open gym supervised by our licensed physical and occupational therapists. The Grand Street center has been re-imagined, with the goal of further improving the services we provide to older adults in lower Manhattan and surrounding areas.

Reaffirming Our Commitment to the Chinese American Community

To help further our commitment to serving the Chinese American community, we recently unveiled our new Chinese tagline: 健信醫保 Jiàn xìn yībǎo. We strive to be a program that our participants and providers alike can trust and depend on. In addition to our Chinese tagline, we have also launched a dedicated Chinese phone line that will help us to continue to strengthen that trust and serve our Chinese participants, caregivers, providers, and community members more effectively.

In the coming weeks, we will be hosting events for our participants such as a Mid-Autumn Festival celebration, and for the community such as a Health and Wellness Fair, with dates and venues to be announced soon.

We look forward to continuing to work with you as we embark on more initiatives that reaffirm our commitment to helping enrich the lives of our participants and our Asian American community.

*CenterLight’s PACE Centers remained open for medical and other clinical appointments.
