A Lasting Impact- Grace Darko

Grace Darko recently announced that she is retiring from CenterLight Healthcare PACE. Grace has been with CenterLight for an impressive 37-years.

During Grace's tenure at CenterLight, she has worn many hats and made many memories. "I'll always remember our participants. Working with our participants daily, they become an extension of our family," Grace recalled.

Grace has taken great pride in the work that she's done throughout her career. Grace worked in medical records as a nursing aid, and as part of the customer service and transportation teams.

"Caring for our participants has made me feel so proud. Working here has really taught me what life is all about. When people age, we need more help. To be able to provide those we serve with the care they need is so rewarding."

When she retires from CenterLight, Grace will always bring with her the inspiration provided by the people she has worked with through the years. She will also always be an advocate for PACE.

"PACE is a very good program. PACE's role in keeping older adults in the community, at home, and with their family is so important. I'm inspired by the program, my co-workers, and the organization’s mission."

After spending 37 years with CenterLight, Grace left a few tips for success for current and incoming staff members to follow. "Work with all your heart, be passionate, and come to work with a smile."

Join us in congratulating Grace on her remarkable career and wishing her a happy and healthy retirement!
