CenterLight Therapeutic Recreation

At CenterLight Healthcare Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), we believe in providing our participants with access to fun ways to stay safe, healthy, active, and living in their own homes and communities.

Our dedicated Therapeutic Recreation team works with other members of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT), participants, and their caregivers to help meet participants’ physical, cognitive, emotional, and social needs.

CenterLight Therapeutic Recreation Specialists pay close attention to ensuring that the planned activities are developed specifically to our participants' personal and cultural preferences.

Through recreation therapy, participants engage in things they love and learn something new. Recreational therapy is a great way for our participants to keep their brains sharp, lower their blood pressure and improve their physical and mental health.

Our participants are regularly offered more than 100 activities per month at our PACE Centers* and Alternative Care Settings (ACS),** including arts and crafts, knitting, crocheting, cooking classes, music, field trips, and bingo through the recreational therapy department.

Each day we also offer virtual online programing to provide an extra entertainment resource to those we serve. At CenterLight, our recreational therapy services bring fun and joy for all to share. Call our Service Coordination Team at 1-833-252-2737 (TTY 711), Monday-Friday, 8AM-8PM to learn more about our Therapeutic Recreation Department or if you have any questions.

*PACE Centers provide individuals with primary care, including physician and nursing services; social services; restorative therapies, including physical therapy and occupational therapy; personal care and supportive services; nutritional services; nutritional counseling; recreational therapy and meals.

**CenterLight also has Alternative Care Settings, which are an option for those PACE participants who prefer a smaller, more intimate setting to receive on-site socialization, social services, personal care services, therapeutic recreation and meals. Other center-based services, such as primary care physician services, nursing and rehabilitation are offered at our PACE Centers.
