It's A Work Of Art

At CenterLight Healthcare Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), we love planning fun activities for our participants to enjoy. We encourage our participants to showcase their creative sides by letting out their inner artists in our fun and interactive art programs.

Art has several benefits for older adults, including positive effects on mental health, reduced stress, increased memory skills, enhanced self-esteem, better cognitive memory, and more.

Additionally, art is a great way for our participants to express themselves and connect with others. At times, participants may even discover a talent they didn’t know they have!

Each week at CenterLight Healthcare PACE, we offer live arts and crafts classes for our PACE participants to enjoy. These classes range from online sessions on our Facebook page to in-person activities at our day health centers.

Creativity in Action:

I recently taught an online class teaching our participants how to paint in Pointillism. Pointillism is a painting style in which small, distinct dots of color are applied in patterns to form an image. Pointillism is an easy way to create beautiful art.

Watch the video tutorial by clicking here here to learn how you can start painting using this technique.

We encourage our participants to stay up to date with our Facebook page to view more art tutorials and learn more about other fun activities they can do to stay healthy and active.
